Bina Finance Sdn Bhd is committed to handling personal information with care. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have under Malaysian law (Personal Data Protection Act 2010, PDPA) and, where applicable, under GDPR for individuals in the European Economic Area.

Bina Finance Sdn Bhd (SSM No. 002384761-K) is a financial education provider registered and operating in Malaysia, with its principal place of business at 17, Jalan Pudu, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan. We are the data controller for personal information processed in connection with our programmes and website.

2. Information we collect
We collect personal information in the following circumstances:
- Enquiry and contact forms: Name, email address, phone number, and any information you include in your message.
- Enrolment: Name, email address, phone number, employer or occupation (optional), and payment confirmation details.
- Website usage: Technical information collected through cookies — browser type, pages visited, time spent, and referring page. See Section 7.
- Correspondence: Records of written communications, including post-programme questions submitted to faculty.
We do not collect sensitive personal data (such as financial account numbers, health information, or identity document details) through our website or standard enrolment process.
3. Legal basis for processing
We process personal data on the following grounds:
- Contract performance: To manage your enrolment and deliver the programme you have enrolled in.
- Legitimate interests: To respond to enquiries, manage communications, and improve our programmes.
- Consent: For optional analytics cookies, where you have given consent through our cookie preference controls.
- Legal obligation: To maintain records required under Malaysian company and tax law.
4. How we use your information
- To respond to enquiries and confirm programme availability
- To process enrolment and confirm places on programmes
- To communicate with you before, during, and after a programme
- To deliver post-programme faculty support within the thirty-day window
- To maintain records required by Malaysian law
- To understand how our website is used, in aggregate, in order to improve it
We do not use your personal information for unsolicited marketing. We do not sell your information to third parties.
5. Data retention
We retain participant records (name, contact details, programme attended) for seven years from the date of programme completion, in compliance with Malaysian accounting and company law requirements. Enquiry records for people who did not subsequently enrol are deleted after twelve months. Website analytics data is retained for twenty-four months.
6. Data sharing
We do not share personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. We may share information with:
- Service providers: Email hosting and website infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf under contractual data processing agreements.
- Regulatory authorities: Where required by Malaysian law or a lawful order.
Faculty members have access to participant contact details for the purpose of delivering post-programme support. They do not retain this information after the thirty-day support period.
7. Cookies
Our website uses cookies to understand how it is used. We use essential cookies (required for the site to function) and, with your consent, analytics cookies. We do not use marketing or tracking cookies. Please see our Cookie Policy for full details and preference controls.
8. Security
We use secure HTTPS for all data transmission. Administrative access to systems holding personal data is restricted to authorised staff. We do not store payment card details — enrolment payments are confirmed by bank transfer, and only the confirmation reference is retained.
In the event of a data breach involving personal information, we will notify affected individuals and the relevant authority as required under PDPA and applicable law.
9. Your rights under PDPA (Malaysia)
Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you have the right to:
- Access personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal data
- Withdraw consent to processing (where processing is based on consent)
- Limit the use of your personal data
- Lodge a complaint with the Department of Personal Data Protection Malaysia

We review this privacy policy annually and update it when our practices change or when required by law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our website or enrolment in a programme after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
